Afternoon Cafe
Coffee shop mobile app
My role : UX designer
Challenge : Improve the coffee shop's online ordering system. To attract and retain users and also increase users' satisfaction.
Solution : Re-design the layout of the mobile app in a more appetizing way to attract new customers and impress old customers.
Research
To precisely point out the facts the coffee shop is facing, what users are looking for, and compare the difference to other coffee shops, an online survey is conducted after the users complete the ordering process.
Research Goal
-
Can the app satisfy the old users?
-
Can the app attract the potential users?
-
Can the completed process, from ordering to delivery, meet users' expectation?
Research Methodology
Five participants take the online survey.
-
Age : 20 - 40
-
Demographic : New York, United States
Users are questioned :
-
Is the app smooth enough for you to choose and order items?
-
Are you able to successfully order the items what you want?
-
Do you feel stuck when completing the order process?
-
Is the payment process easy for you to complete?
-
Does the delivery meet your expectation?
-
Are you satisfied when having your order on hand?

Insights :
-
Participants are not satisfied when the delivered items are on hands because of the slow delivery harm the quality of items.
-
Participants wish to complete the ordering process as fast as they can.
